ROLE OF PROPERTY AND FACILITIES BUYER
- IT literacy - experience of excel and word essential
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to drive significant value through an efficient procurement process
- Ability to identify new opportunities, present recommendations and lead the change for efficiencies outside of the existing portfolio of products and services without the need for initiation from customers
- Category management experience
- Excellent organisational skills and time management
- Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent and confident customer service communication skills - written verbal
- Ability to develop credible relationships and engage successfully with a large and disparate stakeholder community
- Ability to interrogate, analyse, report and influence on data effectively
- Ability to identify and stop all nominated contract leakage
- Self motivated and a team player
- Flexible adaptable
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects
- Experience in a fast paced procurement and commercial environment
- Must have a quantifiable record of achievement through the recommendation of efficiencies, cost reduction and service improvement initiatives
- Effective supplier and contract management
- Knowledge of contract law with the ability to understand and draft commercial contracts desirable
