Asbestos Lead Surveyor - Asbestos P402 - North East - North East England, North East
Our client is an expanding asbestos/environmental company offering varied asbestos/environmental services to clients across the UK. Due to continuous growth of the business, they are actively looking for an Asbestos Lead Surveyor to join their busy team to cover various contracts in and around the North East area.
The applicant must have the BOHS P402 asbestos certificate and must have previous relevant experience working within this role and within the asbestos industry.
Duties will include undertaking asbestos Management, Refurbishment/Demolition surveys on both commercial and industrial buildings.
Collating and writing asbestos reports and keeping them up to date.
The remainder of the role will be devoted to project management and client liaison including preparation of fee proposals, plus technical co-ordination and auditing in line with the companies UKAS procedures.
Other duties will include managing junior staff and training them on site and carrying out consultancy duties.
In general, you will be a good team player, flexible, have a good knowledge of the Health and Safety Legislation in relation to asbestos, and have the ability to work on own initiative.
